How can I prevent people from booting me from yahoo chat?

Im tired of always going into yahoo chat and getting hell from people who think they run chat. I stated turning my PMs off for the m IMs I was getting. So they started disconnecting me completely. How do I put a stop to this ****?? Please be detailed and show me how I can set it up
