The very fact that you think he might have suggests that you don't entirely trust him. This is not a good sign for a healthy relationship. If he did steal the money you don't really want him. If he didn't and you don't trust him he doesn't want you. Therefore the relationship is doomed so the best thing you can do is tell him without even discussing the money that you see no future in your friendship.
