Has the MAL-admistration of Bush-Cheney created the perfect climate for Democrats to re-take the White House?

Given the fact Bush is likely to go down in history as the worst and most hated president ever it's difficult (if not impossible) for Americans to see any hope in McCain and the GOP (not that a Democrat is likely to facilitate peace, prosperity, and improved foreign relations either)
