My 2000 Fiat Punto JTD tacho & speedo stopped working simultaneously - any suggestions?

Instruments restarted (briefly) after withdrawing & reinserting multicable connectors in interior fusebox. Fuses in this and engine compartment boxes are all OK. Presumably shared power supply failure but I can't trace without a circuit diagram.
