Why was Oscar Schindler so evil and violent?

After participating in the holocaust and killing more than 6 million jews, He went to India and inated the freedom fighter/prime minister- Mahatma Gandhi... What is the psychology and thought process of these types of people (Including Hitler and Mussolini)...Thanks...Is their any book available on the psychology of evil minds?
