Whats the best bait to use for a mouse trap?

Cheese, ive heard, doesnt work so well....ive heard peanut er works good...im hoping to get rid of it tonight...its getting brave ie comin out in the open tryin to bite so it shouldnt be to wary of a trap....thx in advance
